GREAT AUSTRALIAN BANK - launch + DOPPLERHAUS + TECHNO 666 + EMS
Naarm post-punk mainstays Great Australian Bank announce their return to The Old Bar on 19th December, celebrating the release of their new single 'Leaving'. Expect sparkling guitars, thundering drums and commanding vocals from the 80’s post-punk heyday - paying homage to the past while feeling fresh.
Great Australian Bank is a bastardised Australiana / post-punk quartet hailing from Naarm. Drawing inspiration from The Church, Sonic Youth, Underground Lovers, and The Go-Betweens, Great Australian Bank channel a sound that is decidedly angular, melodic and nostalgic.
'Leaving' is Great Australian Bank's most optimistic work to date. Recorded at Sing Sing Studios with Rohan Sforcina (Gold Class, Bleak Squad) and mixed by Greg Rietwyk (Press Club, The Pretty Littles), 'Leaving' has been met with high praise from press and community radio (4zzz, Three RRR, RTRFM, Phoenix FM) across Australia since release in November.
Joining on supports are Dopplerhaus, Techno666 and EMS. Presales $10 + BF. Doors $15
Great Australian Bank Acknowledge that this event takes place on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

FREE ENTRY ARVO SHOW w/ MOLLY McKEW - Launch + SILENT INCOME
To celebrate the launch of my EP 'In the distance there is a party (I do not go)' I will be putting on a FREE Sunday afternoon show at my favorite drunk cousin Old Bar, Fitzroy, with friends Silent Income as support.
4pm - Silent income:
Silent Income delivers both disco dance bops as well as mellow rock-out moments. Sam’s daze-inducing guitar swirls and entrancing synths, combined with Marcella’s vocal melodies and curious lyrics, make for a dreamy trip through an emotional landscape in search of treasures such as authenticity and, simply, a good time. LIsten: https://silentincome.bandcamp.com/
5pm - Molly Mckew:
In the distance there is a party (I do not go) is the third release from Molly Mckew following her first 2022 EP I couldn't grasp it and her 2024 album It should have been done with ease. The 8-song release explores various states of inertia, romantic intoxication, emotional dysregulation, longing and fear. Molly will be launching the record at Old Bar on Sunday 7 December with her band. Her dreamy, harmony drenched, folk-pop is embellished by keys from Ryan Oliver, guitar from Sam Billinghurst Walsh and harmonies by Marcella Wright and Cora Diviny. ROSALIE CHILVERS (WA) + STARLET
Rosalie Chilvers – Live at Old Bar
True, loud, and proud—WA’s own pop-rock princess Rosalie Chilvers is bringing her unapologetic energy to Melbourne for a headline show at Old Bar on Sunday, November 30th.
Fresh off the back of main stage slots at Hyperfest and SIDEFEST, and a regional tour for her debut EP Don’t Play In Traffic, Rosalie commands the room with songs that act as diary entries turned anthems. From lost friendships to glitter-soaked heartbreak, expect a set filled with whiplash-inducing gusto and stories of life in all their dramatic glory.
She is joined by Melbourne’s Starlet, a singer-songwriter blending atmospheric alt-pop with sharp, introspective storytelling. Following the release of her debut single Gemini, Starlet delivers emotional clarity and layered textures, balancing softness with an edge.
Supports: Starlet + More TBA Doors: 7:30 PM Tickets: $10 + BF via Oztix
TENCH - launch + PLEASERS A.D> + CLOTHESLINED
Northside noise merchants TENCH have chipped away for the better part of 2025 to finally bring together their debut album MIND BAIT; a collection of piss and vinegar clangour that is angrier, heavier growth from the 2024 ‘Gutted’ EP release.
The album is TENCH’s first release under Melbourne based label UnDunn Records and will be brought live to the masses on Saturday 29th November at Old Bar.
Supporting the saturation of sound and speed will be Clotheslined and Pleasers A.D.

Joshua Seymour (Single Launch) with Little John / Esther Rivers
The Old Bar Friday November 28
Joshua Seymoure launches Dr Gold, the opening single from his much anticipated album Home Is Not A Place
The album was recorded in Melbourne with friend and collaborator Nick Finch (Cash Savage & The Last Drinks) and features members of The Last Drinks, experimental drummer Maria Moles, and Georgia Knight.
Josh Seyour’s new music occupies an atmospheric and cinematic sonic landscape.
It is an album of expansive, gorgeous, otherworldly synth driven folk.
Performing these songs this special show Joshua Seymour will be joined on stage by a band composed of Nick Finch (synth), Sienna Thornton (violin) and Northern Phil (pedalsteel).
Also performing will be Little John - returning to the stage after more than a decade in hiatus.
