Brisbane rock outfit Shock Value are making the trip south to headline a night of rock ’n’ roll at The Old Bar. Supported by local bands Handgrenade Hearts, Boyfriend TV and The Reverie, the big guy brings  together four bands for a stacked bill of original music.

KAARST return to The Old Bar, now delivering their blend of industrial, dark-electronic post-punk as a full band lineup. 

Melbourne’s Lily of the Valley are quickly making a name for themselves in Australia’s heavy underground, crafting a distinctive post-metal sound forged in tension and release. 

Opening the night, the crushing, cinematic synth doom of False Fate.

The Vicar is a 4 piece band from Perth, here to share their new single, ‘Poor Tools’. The band presents raw vocals, a screeching saxophone and verbed out guitar. Taking influence from artists like King Krule and Portishead, their sound reflects a trip-hop style with a dark and moody atmosphere. Definitely an attentive listen. Joining them for the night is imfreshmeat and UGLIEBOY, not a night to miss!

Commencing 7:30pm on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, allow yourself the treat of a humorous hypnosis in the newly adorned bar-en-lounge upstairs at one of Fitzroy's most beloved live venues.
