The Tumultuous Twenties

  • The Old Bar 74-76 Johnston Street Fitzroy, VIC, 3065 Australia (map)

Lily O’Connell is a Melbourne based emerging artist who creates artwork as a response to her struggles from her childhood and now into her early twenties.

Lily used art to cope in hospitals when she was a child and has been a crucial coping mechanism and tool to communicate her thoughts and feelings ever since.

Lily often addresses themes such as pain, perception, frustration, isolation and judgement within her work and prompts the audience to “ question ideas of binary hierarchy.”

Lily’s solo exhibition “Tumultuous Twenties” focuses on her present life experiences.

Joining Lily on opening night are bands Twins Sports and Texas Milk Bar.

Doors at 7pm - no pre-sale tickets available

Bands from 8:30

$15 entry fee to support local musicians

This event is sponsored by our friends and supporters of the arts, Bodriggy Brewing company. The exhibition will be open 3pm – 8pm every day until August 1.
