A group exhibition by Andy Robertson, Angela Hickey and Jack Herd.
Like a Scalene triangle that has three unequal sides, three artists have to come together to exhibit their artworks with their different perspective’s and themes, but with each artist bringing equal value to this exhibition. Local artists Andy Robertson and Angela Hickey, along with Geelong based artist, Jack Herd have combined in this group exhibition to present their artworks at The Old Bar Gallery.
Inspired by the trifecta of movies, cartoons and history, Jack Herd combines these in a quirky, eclectic way that represents his particular set of aesthetics.
Whereas, Andy Robertson creates works with a hyper-specific attention to the mundane minutia of everyday life, seeking to find significance and wonder in the rich complexity of the overlooked and unremarked-upon.
Angela Hickey is no stranger to making a statement; her works explore the inequity of living in a patriarchal system and how conditioning from birth impacts on who we are and the nature of our identity.
Opening night will include live music performances by Dental Plan and Space Junk!
Doors at 7pm , Bands from 8:30pm
