Baptism of Uzi are a psychedelic band from Naarm. They blend krautrock influences, improvisation with proto-metal and are known for their tight and elevating live shows. They are launching a new single "1D Maggot" which stands as their mission statement: we as humans are a point on the tapestry of the universal consciousness, all glory and gratitude to the creator. The single is a new sonic frontier for Baptism, being a sample-based recording that marries Cocteau Twins-style shoegaze with the live feel and aggression of classic psyche rock.
