calyx (Mollusc, Diecut, spores) entangles synthesizers, beats and field recordings with violin and vocals. Caught in the dank and fertile space between machines and living things, between improvisation and structure, between kaos, resistance and pleasure, calyx is an invitation to feel what needs to be felt. calyx references the Cocteau Twins, Fever Ray, Depeche Mode, Einstürzende Neubauten and the Dirty Three.

Since 2013 Jenny Branagan (NUN) and Andrea Blake (ASPS/Chrome Dome) have been experimenting with disturbing frequencies as VACUUM. After first meeting a few years prior as labelmates on the cult imprint Nihilistic Orbs, they quickly became friends and collaborators. VACUUM combines diegetic samples and sub-bass tones, resulting in a disquieting yet danceable outcome. Utilizing the cyclical patterns found in nature and industry as a rhythmic device, VACUUM aims to destroy and rebuild constantly.
