Before departing for their anticipated debut national tour, Naarm duo Convenience Store will be performing with a full live band at the Old Bar on July 14. Opening the night are two support sets from Sofia and Supercab. Some ideas need to be tested and some limits need to be determined.

Convenience Store is the Naarm/Melbourne music project of Nick Baker and Jack Phillips. The duo obsessively record music in their DIY basement studio, creating inventive indie rock which invokes the emotive sincerity of Alex G, Porridge Radio, and LCD Soundsystem. Their audience has grown locally and abroad (in the USA and UK) with radio play on KEXP, NTS, RRR, Double J and Triple J. Their eclectic sound tours through memories indie rock, post-punk, electronic, and folk genres, and is unified by the dynamism of their recording style and unique songwriting.
