Edgar Hurley and dear friend Al Speers play the Old Bar.
Edgar Hurley is a folk singer-songwriter who creates delicate yet complex compositions elevated by a lyrically-driven delivery and an unassuming, intimate presence.
Hailing from the sleepy harbour town of Portsmouth in England and having settled in Brisbane in 2013, Jordan Wearn has been writing music as Edgar Hurley since early 2020. July 2021 saw the release of the warmly received debut album 'The Blame Needs A Place' which was heralded with the singles 'Sometimes' and 'Hurrah'.
Much of the lyrical content from the album was taken from a vast catalog of poetry that Jordan has penned. A selection of which was published in the collection of works entitled 'You Gave Me A Lily and Now It's A Field' that was offered as an accompaniment to the record.
