FIVE FINGER POWER HOUR is a community-run festival aimed at raising funds for young disabled people, bringing musicians from all genres and walks of life together for a good cause. All proceeds will be donated to the Dylan Alcott Foundation.
In light of recent changes to the NDIS, we thought it would only be right that we as musicians do something about it, because as we all know, when times are tough, we only have each other to rely on.
On the bill we have Better Than Sex, The Clever References, STOKAHR, Kramas and The Ferns.
Better Than Sex:
Better Than Sex is cowboy circus cabaret - the soundtrack to the privatisation of your nervous system.
The Clever References:
The Clever References are an up-and-coming alt-rock band from Naarm (Melbourne), with over a million streams. Known for their hit "Tell Ben Kate" and the new single "CAN YOU HELP ME COPE AND SEETHE," they bring a high-energy live show. With vibes similar to Weezer, Cake, and Bob Dylan, expect catchy tunes and plenty of fun that'll keep you moving all night.
STOKAHR:
Stokahr is an up-and-coming Trans artist from Naarm/Melbourne that makes EDM/Rave and Hip-Hop inspired dance music. She creates gay, tongue in cheek tunes that are easy to move to and even better to sing a long with.
Kramas:
Kramas is an art-rock cult often walking a fine line between realism and surrealism. The live iterations are stripped back, visceral and often improvised. Shambolic at times but never boring. Critics are welcome to investigate.
The Ferns:
The Ferns are a new rock band based in Naarm/Melbourne, promising theatrical music dazzled with an edge of angst and whimsy. Featuring operatic vocal lines, fun grooves, driving instrumentals and multi part harmonies.
